These drawings present confusing evidence as to their origin, since the date of "3/28/55" given on drawing 1000.001.00063 is much later than the 1946 date of the project illustrated in plate 26 of Power in buildings by Hugh Ferriss, and indicated by the inscription on drawing 1000.001.00060. Ferriss archival papers yield the names of associated architects, Robert B. O'Connor and Aymar Embury, 2nd, as well as the firm of Brown, Lawford, and Forbes, Architects, (1946) (probably the Watson Library Project) in connection with Metropolitan Museum projects. These drawings may be from one or both of the projects.
